Solo Hike at Hardy Lake

*This is a post from August that never made it up on the blog. As I write this I am looking out the window at the most perfect snowfall. One of the things I love about living in Ontario is the true experience of all four seasons. It is with great pride and a smilie that I can honestly say I am not missing the summer. Our winters here are quite glorious with so much adventure possibility...if you #getoutside!*

Solitute was needed today and I had the perfect weather to get out there. I spent the afternoon solo hiking around Hardy Lake in Muskoka Lakes township. It was a beautiful, easy hike and despite the almost full parking lot it was fairly quiet. The loop trail, approached at a very leaisurly pace, took only a few hours and included snack breaks and time to just stop and chill. I would definitely do this one again!
